LAKEVIEW GOLF

220 YONGE ST

Lakeview Golf Course is one of the "gems" of Ontario's golf scene. There's so much history, so many firsts associated with the course. Lakeview has twice hosted Canada's national golf championship, the Canadian Open (won by C.W Hackney in 1923 and Tommy Armour in 1934). The course also hosted the very first Ontario Open and Ontario Amateur championships, both in 1923. The beautiful Herbert Strong designed traditional, parkland style layout is 6, 340 yards in length with par of 71. Lakeview recently received the honour of having two of its holes - the fifth hole, a 591 yard par 5 and the sixteenth hole, a 466 yard par 5 - voted as top favourites by GTA residents.
